What is a dark post, and why does it matter?
An ad created in Ads Manager that never appears on your Page. Its comments are easy to miss because nobody on your team scrolls past them, and they are where scams and fake support accounts gather.
Do I have to connect my ad account?
On Facebook and Instagram, ad comments reach CommentGate through your Page either way. Connecting the ad account tells us which ad each comment came from, so you can set rules per ad and see ad health. On TikTok and Threads the ad account is what brings ad comments in.
How quickly are TikTok ad comments handled?
Spark Ads on a TikTok account you have connected are handled within minutes. Other ads are checked every few minutes while they are running, and less often once they stop. Words on your blocklist are hidden by TikTok the moment they are posted.
Will hiding comments hurt my ad?
A hidden comment is still visible to the person who wrote it and their friends, so nothing looks different to them. Everyone else sees a comment section without the scam links.
Can I see which ads draw the most harmful comments?
