For your developers

  • Read comments

With every filter the inbox has: status, platform, ads or posts, account, date.

  • Act on comments

Hide, unhide, reply, allow, archive, delete and like, following each platform's rules.

  • Report totals

The same numbers as your reports, for your own dashboards.

  • Signed webhooks

Each event you pick, signed, retried on failure.

  • Sales from tracked links

Send orders back so revenue shows next to the comments behind it.

  • Keys per brand

Create and revoke keys in Settings, one brand each.

Where it works

The API follows the same platform rules as the app.

  • Facebook Read, hide, delete, reply, private reply and like.
  • Instagram Read, hide, delete, reply and private reply.
  • TikTok Read, hide and reply. Delete is refused, because TikTok does not allow it.
  • YouTube Read, hide (held for review) and reply.
  • Threads Read, hide and reply.

Questions

Is the API on every plan?

Yes. Webhooks, the API and the Zapier and Make apps are included on every plan, trial included.

How do I know a webhook came from CommentGate?

Each delivery is signed with a secret shown next to the webhook in Settings. The developer docs have code to check it in Node.js and Python.

What happens if my server is down?

Failed deliveries are retried three more times over the next few seconds, and the latest error shows next to the webhook in Settings.

Can I act on comments from my own tools?

Yes. Actions from the API go through the same path as the app, so they show in each comment's history and follow each platform's rules.
