Ad comments, and which ad a comment came from
How CommentGate tells you a comment is on an ad, which ad and campaign it came from, and how to see every comment on one ad.
Updated
Comments on your ads come into Activity next to comments on your posts, as long as the ad account is connected on Accounts.
Tell ad comments apart
Open a comment. Under the author you see Ad and the ad's name (or Post and the caption). Click it to see the ad itself.
When the ad belongs to a campaign, the line under the comment also says "Campaign:" and the campaign's name.
See every comment on one ad
- Click Filter in Activity.
- Set Where to Ads to see only ad comments.
- Pick the ad under Ad or post.
From Reports, Ad health lists each ad with its comments; See comments on an ad opens them in Activity. See Ad health.
Export one ad's comments
In Reports, click the download icon, then One post or ad, and paste the ad's link or id. See Export comments.
Switches for ads only
Like happy comments and Thank happy comments run on ads only unless you choose Ads and posts. See Like and thank happy comments. Rules can also be limited to ads, or to one ad.
Limits worth knowing
- Instagram does not let any app look up comments on Advantage+ catalog ads, so some may not reach CommentGate. The Facebook side of those ads is fully covered.
- Comments on Instagram live videos cannot be hidden.
- TikTok and YouTube only allow hiding, never deleting, comments on ads.

- Like and thank happy comments Have CommentGate like positive comments and reply with a short thank-you, on your ads only or on posts too.
