Ad health: which ads draw harmful or unhappy comments

Compare each ad’s comments this week with last week, spot the ones going wrong, and get an alert when one does.

Updated

Comments are an early warning. When an ad suddenly draws scams, spam or unhappy customers, you want to know before you spend more on it.

Open Reports, then Ad health. Each ad with comments is listed over the last 7 days, against the 7 before.

The line above the table gives your median ad (from ads with a few comments or more), so you can see which ones stand out. Sort by any column.

One ad in detail

Click an ad to see:

  • The four numbers for this week, each against last week and your median ad.
  • A chart of the last 14 days, which can also be shown as a table.
  • Recent examples of each kind, with Open to see a comment in Activity.
  • See comments opens every comment on the ad in Activity.
  • For Meta ads, Pause or edit in Ads Manager opens the ad there. For TikTok ads, the page shows the ad id to search for in TikTok Ads Manager.

Get an alert

In Settings, Alerts, tick An ad draws unusually many harmful or negative comments on a channel. CommentGate checks every hour. It alerts you when, over the last 24 hours, an ad has had at least 10 comments, at least 20% of them harmful or negative, and that share is at least twice the ad's usual and well above it. You get at most one alert per ad a day. Slack and Discord alerts have a button to open the ad in Ads Manager.
