See an author's other comments, and mute or block them
Check what someone has written before on your accounts, then mute them everywhere or block them on Facebook.

Before you decide on a comment, it helps to know if this person is a loyal customer or someone who keeps causing trouble.
Their other comments
Open the comment in Activity and click the Author tab. You see their last 10 other comments on the same platform, on the accounts you can see, each with what happened to it (hidden, replied and so on). Click one to open it.
"No other comments from" them means this is the first time.
Mute an author
More (the three dots), Mute author. Everything they write on your accounts is hidden from then on. They are not told. Unmute author undoes it.
Muted people are listed under Setup, Advanced, Lists, Muted authors. To do the opposite for staff, ambassadors or partners, add them to Trusted authors: their comments always stay up.
Block an author

| YouTube | Remove and block on YouTube: removes this comment for good and hides what they write next. |
| Instagram, TikTok and Threads | These platforms do not let a business block people this way. Mute them instead. |
A blocked author shows "Blocked on Facebook" under their name. Everyone you blocked is listed under Lists, Blocked people.
