People: everyone who commented, messaged you or wants to buy
What a person is in CommentGate, how to find them, and how to organize them with tags and fields.
Updated
A person is one customer on one of your accounts. People show up when they comment on a campaign, message you, or write a comment that says they want to buy. Each person keeps what you know about them: their email and phone, tags, fields, the campaigns they are in, and everything that happened.
Open Campaigns in the sidebar, then People. The line at the top says how many people you have, how many gave an email or phone, and how many you can message now.
Find someone
- Search (key /) looks through names, emails and phone numbers.
- Filter narrows the list: Tagged, Platform, Came from (a campaign), Contact info, Wants to buy (their comment asked about buying) and Can message now (they wrote in the last 24 hours, 48 on TikTok).
Click a person to open their details.
Tags
Tags are your own labels, like VIP, wholesale or restock.
- One person: open them and type in Tags, then press Enter. Remove a tag with its X.
- Many people: tick them in the list and click Add tag. To tag everyone the filters show, tick the whole page, then Select all. Pick A tag you use or type a new one, and click Add tag.
Campaigns can also add and remove tags as people go through them. Filter by Tagged to find them again.
Fields
Fields hold anything else you want to remember, as a name and a value: shoe size 9, favorite color, order number. Open the person, type under Fields and click Add.
Leads
The settings icon at the top of People opens When a comment is a lead: turn on Save comments from people who want to buy, choose How sure before it counts, and optionally Send them a private message with a link (Facebook and Instagram, once per comment).
Only teammates who can edit people can change tags, fields and contact details.
