Zapier and Make

The Zapier and Make apps start a workflow the moment a comment arrives, is hidden or needs you, and act on comments from the other tools you use. Both connect with an API key and run on REST hooks, so triggers fire within seconds.

Updated September 26, 2026

Connect

  • In CommentGate, open Settings, then API keys, and create a key named after the app ("Zapier" or "Make").
  • In Zapier, add a CommentGate step and paste the key when asked. In Make, add a CommentGate module and create a connection with the key.

Actions run as the person who created the key, with the same rules as the inbox. Turning a Zap or scenario on subscribes a hook, which shows in Settings, then Alerts; turning it off removes it.

TikTok, YouTube and Threads comments can be hidden but never deleted, and blocking works on Facebook only; a step that asks for something a platform does not allow fails with the reason in words.

Sending sales back

Tracked links CommentGate sends in private messages add cg_click to your landing page URL. Save it with the order (most stores can keep landing page parameters), then add Record a Sale after your store's new order trigger, mapping the cg_click value, the order total and the currency. Revenue then shows next to the comment and campaign that led to it. To send the sale on to Meta Events Manager as well, also map the buyer's browser user agent (client_user_agent, required by Meta for website sales) and, when your store keeps them, client_ip_address, fbp and fbc. Without the user agent the sale is recorded but not sent to Meta, and the response says why in meta.reason.
