Connect Threads

On Threads, comments are called replies. Connecting your Threads profile lets CommentGate read, hide and answer replies to your posts.

Connect your profile

1. Open Accounts and click Connect, then Threads.
2. Threads opens. Sign in to the profile you post from and allow access.
3. You land back on Accounts with Your Threads profile is connected. Replies from the last 30 days come in as suggestions.

Threads sign-ins need renewing every few weeks. CommentGate renews yours automatically while the profile stays connected. If Threads refuses, the profile shows Needs reconnecting and owners and admins get an email. See Reconnect an account.

Threads ads

Replies on your Threads ads do not need this connection. They come with your Facebook and Instagram connection, as a Threads ads row under your Meta ad account. See Moderate comments on Facebook and Instagram ads.

What Threads allows

• Hide and reply only. Threads does not let anyone delete other people's replies.
• Hiding works on replies made directly to your post. Hiding one also hides the replies under it. A reply nested deeper cannot be hidden on its own.
• Answers are limited to 500 characters.
• No likes, no private replies and no blocking from other apps.
