Connect WhatsApp
Connect your WhatsApp Business number to answer messages in Messages and use it in your automations.

WhatsApp has no comments. Connecting a WhatsApp Business number brings the messages people send it into Messages, and lets your automations answer there.
Before you start
- A WhatsApp Business account in Meta, with the number you want to use.
- If your number already has a two-step verification PIN in WhatsApp Manager, have that 6 digit PIN ready.
Connect
- Open Accounts and click Connect, then WhatsApp.
- A Connect WhatsApp box asks for the Two-step verification PIN. Enter it only if your number already has one. Otherwise leave it empty. Click Continue.
- Meta opens a window. Pick your WhatsApp Business account and the number, and finish the steps there.
- Back on Accounts you see Your WhatsApp number is connected.
If the number shows an Enter PIN button afterwards, WhatsApp needs that PIN to finish setting the number up. Click it, enter the 6 digit PIN from WhatsApp Manager and click Finish setup.
Add a payment method in WhatsApp Manager
Meta bills your WhatsApp account directly for each template message it delivers. CommentGate never charges you for them. Add a payment method in WhatsApp Manager, or templates cannot go out.
What to expect when messaging
- You can send a normal reply within 24 hours of the person's last message. After that, only an approved template can go out.
- WhatsApp does not deliver marketing templates to United States phone numbers.
- The number's row on Accounts shows its quality, how many people it can reach in a day, and who pays Meta.
