Replies for a chargeback or dispute threat
Someone threatening a chargeback in the comments usually wants one thing: to be taken seriously. Show them you are, and move everything else to a private message.

Public or private?
Answer in public when
Reply in public once, briefly, so readers see you responded. Nothing about the dispute itself belongs there.
Take it private when
Everything else goes private: order details, refund offers, and any evidence. If a dispute has already been filed with the bank, answer it through your payment provider's dispute process, not in the comments.
What never to do
- Never ask for card numbers, bank details, order numbers or screenshots of statements in the comments or by message. Your payment provider already has what it needs.
- Never threaten the customer, mention collections, or say you will "win" the dispute.
- Never post order details, delivery photos or tracking as public proof.
- Never argue about whether the chargeback is fair in public.
- Never delete the comment to make the threat go away. Hide it only if it includes personal details or abuse.
- Never promise a refund in public that you have not checked you can give.

Or let CommentGate write them
These replies are a starting point. CommentGate drafts answers like them for every question on your posts and ads, in your voice and with your details already filled in.
-
1Tell it your facts once
Return window, shipping times, sizing notes and how you sound. Every draft uses them.
-
2Approve, edit or discard
Nothing is posted until your team says so. Each edit or discard is a correction it learns from.
-
3Let clear answers send
Once its drafts go out unchanged, let clear answers send on their own. Anything unsure still waits for you.

Questions
Should I reply to a chargeback threat at all?
Yes, once and briefly. A calm public reply shows everyone reading that you respond, and it gives you a chance to fix things before the bank gets involved.
Can I show the tracking to prove it was delivered?
Not in public. Tracking and delivery details are personal information. If the dispute goes ahead, that evidence goes to your payment provider through its dispute process.
