Replies for stock and restocks
A sold-out question is demand you have not captured yet. Say when it is back, give a way to hear first, and keep the tone upbeat.

Too long for TikTok
Public or private?
Answer in public when
Answer stock questions in public. The date and the sign-up link are useful to everyone reading, and a quick answer keeps people from giving up.
Take it private when
Take it private only when someone has an order stuck because of a stock problem. That is a late order, and the details belong in a message.
What never to do
- Never give a restock date you are not confident in. "Mid-October" is safer than "October 12".
- Never say it is in stock when it is not. The comments are where people complain when that happens.
- Never invent scarcity ("only 3 left!") that is not true.
- Never keep running an ad for a product that is sold out without saying so in the comments.
The blanks
What goes in each blank on this page, with the kind of detail we used to check lengths.
| Blank | What goes there | Example |
|---|---|---|
| {restock_when} | When the next batch arrives | mid-October |
| {restock_link} | A restock sign-up page | wildermere.com/restock |
| {name} | The first name of the person who commented | Jess |
| {product} | The product in the ad | Ridgeline |
Or let CommentGate write them
These replies are a starting point. CommentGate drafts answers like them for every question on your posts and ads, in your voice and with your details already filled in.
-
1Tell it your facts once
Return window, shipping times, sizing notes and how you sound. Every draft uses them.
-
2Approve, edit or discard
Nothing is posted until your team says so. Each edit or discard is a correction it learns from.
-
3Let clear answers send
Once its drafts go out unchanged, let clear answers send on their own. Anything unsure still waits for you.

Questions
Should I pause an ad when the product sells out?
Usually, yes. If it keeps running, answer every "is it sold out?" comment with the restock date and a sign-up link, so the spend still builds a list.
Can I tell people exactly how many are left?
Only if it is true and you are sure. Scarcity that turns out to be made up costs more trust than it earns sales.
