Read the numbers on a campaign

What Reached, Clicked and Converted mean on each step, what the campaign list totals count, and why some people got no message.

Updated

Every campaign counts what happens at each step, so you can see where people drop off and which message sells.

On the board

Turn numbers on or off with Show numbers in the ... menu. Each card shows:

  • Reached: how many times people arrived at this step.
  • Clicked (on DMs and follow checks): link clicks from this step's buttons, plus taps on its buttons and quick replies.
  • Converted (on DMs and follow checks): sales in USD from the tracked links this step sent.

Numbers add up across every version of the campaign, so editing a live campaign does not reset them.

Reading down the board shows where people drop off. If far fewer people reach the step after the tap than reached the opening DM, many never tapped: try a clearer button label. If the code DM has clicks but no sales, look at the page the link opens.

A/B splits also show each path's own Reached, Clicked and Converted, counted in people, with a line saying which path is ahead. See Test two offers with an A/B split.

On the campaign list

Each campaign on Campaigns shows three totals:

  • Reached: people the campaign reached.
  • Clicks: clicks on its tracked links.
  • Sales: sales in USD reported for its links.

Why a number can look low

  • Sales need your store to report them. Converted and Sales stay at $0 until sales are recorded, for example through Zapier or Make. See Tracked links and recording sales.
  • Clicks can take up to about half an hour to appear on the board.
  • Some people were passed over. Open Recent comments in the ... menu. Under Why some got no message it counts each reason, for example "The comment was hidden", "Waiting for review, so nothing was sent", "This person already got the message", "This person is already in this campaign" or "Automation is paused for this account".
