How the autopilot learns, and when it acts alone
Every hide, keep, unhide and reply edit is a lesson. When CommentGate agrees with you often enough in an area, it stops asking about it.

CommentGate starts careful. It hides what is clearly harmful, keeps what is clearly fine, and asks you about the rest. As you answer, it learns your brand's line and asks less.
What counts as a lesson
You do not need to train it on purpose. These all count:
- Pressing Hide or Keep on a comment in Needs you or in Activity.
- Pressing Unhide, it was fine on a comment it hid.
- Pressing Hide, it was not fine on a comment it kept.
- Sending, editing or throwing away a reply it drafted.
When a new comment looks like ones you already decided, CommentGate leans the way you went. Once a day it also looks back over all your answers and adjusts how sure it needs to be before it acts.
When it acts alone
CommentGate keeps score separately for each area: scams, spam, competitor mentions, links and so on.
- It earns trust slowly. Once it has at least 50 of your answers in an area and agrees with 95% or more of your last 100, it handles that area on its own and asks you much less. Home says so, for example: "Handling scams on its own now."
- It backs off fast. If agreement in an area drops under 85%, it becomes more careful straight away and sends more of those comments to you, until it is back on track.

Where to see how it is doing
Home shows the last 7 days in one line: how much it handled on its own, how many it asked you about, and how often it agreed with your calls. See What "handled on its own" and "agrees with your calls" mean.
Suggestions
When the same correction keeps coming up, a card appears under Suggestions on Home, for example: You keep hiding profanity yourself. Turn on "Hide profanity"? Press Yes, do it to accept or Dismiss to leave things as they are. Only owners and admins see these buttons.
Help it learn faster
- Answer Needs you for a few minutes a day in your first week.
- When it gets one wrong, correct it rather than ignoring it. A wrong hide fixed with Unhide, it was fine is the most useful lesson there is.
