Plans and what counts toward them

Every plan has every feature. Plans differ only in how many comments and automated messages they include each month.

Updated

Every CommentGate plan includes every feature: every platform, the autopilot, rules, replies, campaigns, reports, the team features and the developer tools. The only difference between plans is how many comments and messages each one includes per month. Current prices are on the pricing page.

What counts

One unit each, against one monthly allowance:

  • Every comment received on the accounts you connect, on organic posts and on ads, whether it was hidden, allowed or left alone.
  • Every message a campaign or flow sends on its own, such as the DM that goes out when someone comments your keyword. Only messages that were actually delivered count.

What never counts:

  • Messages you or your team type yourselves in Messages.
  • People and contacts. They are unlimited on every plan.
  • Team members. Invite as many people as you need.

Where to see your usage

Open Settings, then Plan and billing. The top of the page shows your plan, how many comments and messages you have used this month, how many of those were automated messages, and the date the count resets. The small meter at the bottom of the sidebar shows the same number on every screen.

The Plan and billing page: the Pro plan with 4,707 of 40,000 comments and messages used this month, the two brands on the plan, and the Monthly cap switch.
Plan and billing shows how much of this month’s allowance is used, and by which brand.

The count resets on the first day of each month, whatever day your plan renews.

When you go past your allowance

Nothing stops. Moderation, replies and automated messages keep running, and the extra comments and messages are charged one by one, priced per 1,000 (the rate is on the pricing page and under Extra comments and messages on Plan and billing). They are billed for the exact number, not rounded up to the next 1,000, and they appear on your next invoice.

If you would rather put a ceiling on that, set a monthly spending cap. If you go over every month, a bigger plan is usually cheaper than paying for extra: moving up a plan always costs less than staying put and paying for the same number of extra comments.

Monthly or yearly

Every plan can be paid monthly or yearly. Yearly costs the same as ten months (two months free). Switch between them under Plans on Plan and billing, using the Monthly and Yearly (2 months free) toggle. See Change your plan.

One plan for all your brands

A plan belongs to the person who pays for it and covers every brand they own, with one allowance shared between them. Brands on this plan lists each brand with its share of this month’s usage. An agency can also bill a client’s brand separately.
