One plan for several brands, or a separate plan per client

In CommentGate a plan belongs to the person who pays for it, not to each brand.

One plan, every brand you own

• Your plan covers every brand where you are an owner, including brands you add later.
• All those brands share one monthly allowance of comments and messages.
• One spending cap and one invoice cover them all.

Say you own Wildermere and a second store. You pay for one plan, and both stores draw from its allowance. Settings, then Plan and billing, lists each brand under Brands on this plan with how many comments and messages it used this month.

Inside a brand, Settings, then Brand billing, says which plan covers it and how much of this month’s usage came from that brand.

Brands where you are a teammate, not an owner, are covered by their owner’s plan. They cost you nothing.

Bill a client’s brand separately

Agencies often want a client to pay for their own brand. An owner of the brand can switch it to its own plan:

1. Switch to the client’s brand with the brand switcher at the bottom of the sidebar.
2. Open Settings, then Brand billing.
3. Under Who pays, select Bill separately.
4. Choose a plan for the brand on the same page. It gets its own checkout, payment method and invoices.

From then on the brand has its own allowance, spending cap and usage, and leaves your pooled plan. Its owners and admins manage its plan from Brand billing.

Move a brand back to your plan

1. Cancel the brand’s own plan first, with Payments and invoices on Brand billing. It keeps running to the end of the period already paid for.
2. Once that plan has ended, select Move to your plan under Who pays.

If the brand still has a live plan of its own, CommentGate says so and leaves it where it is, so nobody pays twice.
